Rant #2,900: Number Wonderful

Well, we have reached another milestone here at the Ranting and Raving Blog.
 
This is the 2,900th post, give or take a few, but I guess you can say that officially, we have reached this new milestone just a few weeks after we reached the 13th anniversary of the actual creation of this blog.
 
So beyond this achievement, what exactly does the number “2,900” actually mean?
 
Here is what I picked up from a Yahoo search for the meaning of number 2,900:
 
“Number 2900 is pronounced two thousand nine hundred. Number 2900 is a composite number. Factors of 2900 are 2 * 2 * 5 * 5 * 29. Number 2900 has 18 divisors: 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20, 25, 29, 50, 58, 100, 116, 145, 290, 580, 725, 1450, 2900.”
 
OK, I guess … but math really never has been my strong suit, writing is, so let me continue doing that.
 
"2,900" supposedly is an important number in numerology, and according to the iFate site (https://www.ifate.com/number-meanings/number-2900-meaning.html):
 
“Looking from a numerological vantage point, the radiance contained within the 4-digit number 2900 is a decidedly intuitive energy. It resonates with well-defined frequencies of perception and marked resonances of psychic energy. This is also a number which points to a special kind of equilibrium and stasis. When this special number turns up, it's very often a sign to notice a special kind of harmony or symmetry that has manifested somewhere.

Huh? ...

OK, but I have never been much into numerology, horoscopes or palm readings, to be honest with you.
 
And back to the mathematical aspect of this, do you know how to write “2,900” in Roman Numerals?
 
It is MMCM.
 
Baseball players who get at least 2,900 hits are considered to be very skilled at their craft, but certainly not as skilled as those who get at least 3,000 hits in their careers.
 
A total of 288 players have gotten at least 2,000 hits during their careers, but only 33 have gotten at least 3,000 hits.
 
I do not know how many got at least 2,900 hits, but it is probably a scant amount more than those getting at least 3,000 hits … I mean, once you get to the 2,900 hit level, why not go for 100 more to get you to the 3,000 mark?
 
So, what does 2,900 mean to me and its relation to this blog?
 
I guess it means that I have put a lot of hard work into this blog since I began it 13 years ago in 2009.
 
I have written about lots and lots of different subjects, some of which have been embraced and some of which have been trashed.
 
That is fine with me … I do like the discourse, as long as it is civil.
 
It has been a fun ride, and the ride shows no signs of stopping.
 
I like to write, and I have found that the blog option is the right one for me.
 
It lets me get out my feelings and beliefs in a concise, fun way …
 
In about 1,000 words a day during the week, a format that keeps things moving along until the next entry.
 
I realize that I don’t have thousands of daily readers to this blog, and honestly, I don’t really care.
 
The dozens of readers that I do have, from not just the U.S. but from around the world, makes this a very cozy place to post my feelings each and every weekday.
 
Just so you know, the blog has daily readers from such places as Thailand; Sweden; Brazil; Germany; France; Greece; Russia; South Africa; Canada; Peru; and Pakistan.
 
So my thoughts are being read worldwide, and that is kind of neat.
 
And now with 2,900 posts, the direction is to get to 3,000, which should happen in late September or sometime in November, maybe even into December if there are some off days to account for.
 
That would be grand, something that I am very proud of.
 
And yes, I am proud of 2,900 posts too.
