Rant #1,780: Happy Birthday, Sweet XXXX

Enough about the Presidential race already.

Today is a much more important day in my life and in my family.

Today, November 10, is my wife's XXXX birthday.

It isn't really important how old she is, because quite frankly, she doesn't look her age; she looks much younger than she actually is. No one would believe her age is what it actually is.

She keeps herself in excellent shape, goes to the gym regularly and watches what she eats.

I met this lady about 25 or so years ago.

I won't go into all the details of our meeting and courtship--I will leave that to our 24th anniversary celebration in June--but I will tell you that from the get go, she has fulfilled all the dreams I have had in every way.

She is a great wife, a great mom, and she is the true Superwoman, balancing work and  her home to a high degree.

We see eye to eye on just about everything, and our main focus is on our son.

And yes, and I am saying this without being trying to be sexist, but I happen to think that she is the most beautiful and sexiest gal on the planet.

Right now, she is hurting a bit.

She has a pulled groin muscle, which as anyone who has had this knows all too well, can not only be very painful, but can also take a long time to heal.

We went to the doctor on Election Day evening so he could look at it, he confirmed what it was, and gave her a regimen to follow.

The very next day, she was 100 percent better, and I know that if she follows the regimen, she will be fine.

And as I said, she is the true Superwoman to me and to our son, and this injury will not be her Kryptonite.

This weekend, we will be celebrating her birthday in style, at a restaurant and with friends and family in attendance.

That should be a lot of fun.

I would give her the world if I could, but since I can't, this will have to do.

I think it will suffice.

And she deserves the world.

Heck, to be married to me and to be raising our son isn't the easiest job in the world, but she does it, and does it well.

So happy birthday to my wife. She is the light of my life, and I couldn't imagine my life any other way than with her as her husband.

She has taken the day off from work, and I hope she has the best birthday anyone can have.

She truly is the best in the world.

I love you, Elena.

  3. I don't go because I simply don't enjoy working out.

I am not workout inclined, and I hate to exercise.

  4. Going to the gym is like going to work, we may not enjoy it, but go anyway anticipating the benefits of our labors.

  5. True, but I am simply not one who likes to work out. Yes, I know it is good for me, but it is not my thing.
