Rant #2,233: The End Of Our Road

I am going to have the final, last word on the Brett Kavanaugh hijinks in Washington that finally played to its conclusion this weekend, and I am going to have it right here.

And this is addressed to all of the people who feel that justice was not done in this despicable episode of political theater.

And that is just what it was, political theater.

No one says that sexual assaults do not happen.

They do, they are heinous, they are disgusting, and those found to be involved in these unfortunate episodes should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

But those trying to pin each and every one of these assaults on Kavanaugh, well, you had the wrong poster boy for this.

Those accusing Kavanaugh of such assaults found that their mere words, after more than 30 years of space between the alleged incident and today, held absolutely no water at all.

And the reason the accusations held no water was because there was not one single even shred of credible evidence presented to pin any assault on this poor guy.

"I can't remember, but it did happen" is not a shred of credible evidence.

Sorry, that is not how our court system works, and that is not how the process we all just went through works, either.

For those who believe that Kavanaugh was guilty simply because a witness said he was, well, that is not how things work.

We have been through "guilty until proven innocent" before in our history, primarily during the Joe McCarthy years, where the simple utterance of "He/She is a Communist" destroyed people without any due process.

Prior to that, the Salem witch trails pretty much fit that bill, where women were accused of being witches because, well, just because.

Do we want to go back to those eras, where simple accusations were enough to convict innocent people of things they didn't do?

Look, those with brains in their heads know that this trial was not about whether Kavanaugh did what he was accused of doing or not.

This was just another episode in the systematic assault on American values and culture that is being launched by many people and organizations with very deep pockets.

Those who said Kavanaugh was a sexual predator and a rapist were simply cogs in the wheel of those who want to destroy this country, and anyone who doesn't see this really has to question their own sanity.

The makeup of the Supreme Court is pretty much crucial to the way we live our lives, and with a more conservative court, many people believe that measures taken in the past, such as Roe v. Wade, will eventually be overturned as the court becomes more conservative.

Those opposing Kavanaugh's place on the Supreme Court were trying to pull a Johnny Cochran, so to speak, making an event about one thing suddenly about another.

Like in the O.J. Simpson trial--where Cochran expertly manipulated the trial to make it a racial expose rather than one about the murder of two innocent people--those wanting Kavanaugh out turned this into a sexual circus, not an exploration on Kavanaugh's exemplary career.

Those people--who include billionaire George Soros, who financially backs several anti-American causes, including Black Lives Matter--also fear that with Kavanaugh's entrance to the court, and the advancing age of Judge Ruth Bader Ginsberg, the court will become increasingly conservative, which could shape policy for decades.

So instead of going after Kavanaugh's record, they went after accusations of sexual impropriety, found their pawns, and in the process, put an unnecessary and an unjust Scarlett Letter on this guy which he will wear forever.

It was wrong all around, and I am happy that Congress did the right thing, and did so barely, clearly cut across party lines, blinded by lies and mere accusations.

And for those who said to me on Facebook that "you don't know what it is to be a woman today," let me tell you, you don't know what it is to be a man today.

The media has painted all males as potential sexual predators, we cannot look at a woman anymore in any light, and the war between males and females has become just that, with males being accused of heinous acts that 99.99999 percent of males would never even think of doing.

And we are being labeled simply because there are some in this country who say that we are bad people.

What a joke.

And on the other side, I commend the women who saw through this utter nonsense, got to the core of the matter, fully understanding what this process was actually about, and did not run with many of their brethren.

They got it.

And that is my personal last word on this nonsense.
