Well, yesterday was my weekly calm before the storm, because today, I have to cover the second in a series of meetings for work.
I do hate these things, because it kills my day and part of Thursday, as I have to write these sessions up in a readable manner.
It makes it much easier if the audio is good, as it was last week, so I guess I am ready to go.
But first, I have to accompany my wife to the doctor where they will tell her what the tests showed as she recuperates from the fall she took a few weeks ago.
I am sure she is going to come out OK, as since this happened while we were in the process of moving, she seems to have made a good recuperation.
Then, if there is time, I have to go to the allergy doctor to get my monthly shots.
If there isn't time, I will have to do it next week, a Wednesday where I will, once again, be covering another meeting for work.
And I will be working on this on Wednesday and certainly into Thursday, the day where I drive my son to and from work.
And this Thursday, there is something else I have to do for work: I am participating in an online meeting for work where we will be discussing the new online magazine that the association I work for os putting together, to debut later this year.
It will cover military resale--exchanges and commissaries--and I know I am going to be tasked with delivering copy to this project.
I already contribute plenty of material every day to their online news area, so as long as it doesn't impede me from doing anything else, I guess I am OK with it.
Again, I am supposed to be retired, so even if that is a fallacy, I want to at least make believe that it is true.
So I am super busy right now ... nothing new about that.
I always said when I was working full time that I was "working for the weekend," and even as a semi-retired person, I continue to work for the weekend.
To my chagrin, absolutely nothing has changed.
And just so you know, the association that stiffed us on my son's job-related interview on Monday never contacted us, and once again, to my chagrin, absolutely nothing has changed.
What else is new?
Let me go with my wife to the doctor.
Wish her luck.
As for me, I might miss a Rant on Thursday again, as I am going to be super busy with that meeting story.
Let's see how things work out.
