There is absolutely nothing new to report on my car accident.
Nothing.
I just have to let it run its course.
I will call the auto body shop later today to try and find out where I stand with my car.
I miss that car, I really do.
I will take pictures of the accident site on Saturday, exactly one week after the accident happened
But that is it about the accident now.
You know as much as I do about it, so there really isnt anything else to say about it.
Having driven more than 50 years, I have had my share of scrapes and bust-ups.
Happily, not too many, and I do consider myself to be a pretty good driver.
Other than that horrid accident I had a number of years ago, most of my accidents have been very minor ones.
And I cant remember a single one where I was at fault ...
Which includes the most recent one.
Of course, in New York State, we have No-Fault, so it ends up that it doesn't really matter who is at fault, both myself and the other driver can, in certain instances, share equally in the responsibility.
Even when, in that horrible accident I was in some years ago, I was judged to have a minimal responsibility for the accident, even though it is a miracle that my family and I only had a couple of cuts and scrapes from that incident.
The adjuster explained it to me this way:
"You were there, so you have to bear at least a minimal responsibility."
Yes, even though we could have been killed in that horrid accident, it was still, the insurance company said, partly my fault.
Unbelievable, but true.
So what will end up happening in this latest instance?
Who knows ...
And that is what scares me.
Have a great weekend, and i will speak to you again on Monday.
